The newest coffee pod available is a limited-edition joint venture between Blue Bottle Coffee and Nespresso, which is something you should know about if you enjoy either or both of these brands. Should you be unfamiliar with Blue Bottle Coffee, it is a well-known coffee chain with locations in numerous major cities, including Los Angeles, New York City, and Washington, D.C. in addition to that. Customers adore Blue Bottle because of its various coffee beans that can be ordered to be delivered right to their homes, premium lattes, and small batch roasting.
Nespresso sells limited edition pods that are also very popular, even though the company does have many of its own pods that are essential to the brand. These limited editions frequently end up becoming people’s all-time favorites, so I’m interested to see if the Blue Bottle NOLA Style Blend Nespresso pod will be one of them.
Blue Bottle’s best-selling product in the cafés, the Iced Nola, is replicated in this coffee pod. You can simply pop it into your Nespresso machine to have the exact drink you ordered at the Blue Bottle shop delivered right to your kitchen. I was eager to try this Nespresso pod since I loved the Blue Bottle shop’s Iced Nola coffee.
What is the NOLA Style Blend?

The NOLA Style Blend is a coffee made in the New Orleans style. Chicory, which is used to brew this coffee, gives it a nutty, earthy flavor that perfectly complements the coffee’s flavor. The Iced Nola typically comes with the customer’s preferred milk when ordered from one of Blue Bottle’s locations. Because it is made with less water than the standard varieties, the beverage is served with equal parts milk and coffee, despite being marketed as iced coffee. As a result, it tastes less like iced coffee and more like iced latte.
It is exactly the same scenario when you brew up a cup of NOLA Style Blend coffee pods, as the directions instruct you to brew the pod directly over ice, sweeten it with whatever type of sweetener you prefer, and pour equal parts milk into the glass for an extra creamy, concentrated iced coffee unlike any other iced coffee that would normally be on a menu at your local coffee shop.
Price and availability

The NOLA Style Blend Nespresso capsules were introduced on June 11th and are available while supplies last (no set end date) in the U.S., China, Hong Kong, Japan, and South Korea only; they are sold online through the Nespresso website or the Blue Bottle website. They come in sleeves of 10 capsules and are Vertuo capsules, which means they work with any type of Nespresso Vertuo machine.
In the U.S., Blue Bottle sells them for $15.50. The Nespresso website also offers a 10-pack, but always at the same price of $1.55 per pod. In this special collaboration, Nespresso is also offering an NOLA Style Blend Coffee Pack that includes a Blue Bottle Blue aquamarine colored tumbler with ice, a blue ice cube tray, three sleeves of capsules for $66 and a limited edition white Vertuo Pop machine with the logo on it for $139.99.
